Eyebrow Microblading is a 3 part process usually completed within 2 appointments.
How to prepare for the treatment.
- Do not drink alcohol the day before your treatment.
- Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen or warfarin for 2 days before or 2 days after the treatment.
- Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for 2 weeks prior to the treatment.
- Eyebrow waxing or threading should be performed at least 48 hours before the treatment.
A sensitivity / patch test will be performed prior to the treatment.
The consultation is usually completed as part of your initial treatment, but it can be carried out seperately if you prefer.
This part of the process will determine the look that you wish to achieve and the colour match for the specialist pigment. At this stage eyebrows are drawn on with an eyebrow pencil, to ensure you are perfectly happy with how they will look.
A topical anaesthetic cream will be applied to the skin to numb the area.
Using a state of the art microblading tool, super fine hair strokes are made by hand, to recreate the effect of individual hairs. Pigment is then applied into the skin and the procedure takes approximately 2 hours.
The colour intensity will be up to 50% darker immediately after the treatment but this will fade within 3-10 days to reveal your chosen colour.
A second appointment is required 4-8 weeks after your first appointment, to add more pigment to the area.
This is due to the fact that as the skin heals the pigment may not hold as well to some areas. This is completely normal and differs from person to person.
